Sigma Coatings was a major supplier to vessels at the Malta Drydocks as far back as the 1960s, and Sigma Coatings (Malta) Ltd. was established in the 1980s. Today Sigma Coatings (Malta) Ltd remains one of the leading local suppliers of Protective and Marine Coatings to international vessels and the local maritime community

During the 1990s Sigma Coatings (Malta) Ltd expanded into the Architectural (Decorative) paints market, and rapidly established itself as the local market leader. Sigma Coatings’ products are today available through an extremely wide network of Hardware Stores all over the islands, some of which also boast Sigma’s in-store paint-tinting facilities.

Sigma Coatings (Malta) Ltd today produces, imports and distributes paints and coatings under license from PPG. It is active in the PMC and Architectural Paints markets, is committed to rigorously high production standards and excellent customer service, and is fully ISO 9001:2015 certified.
