Seafarer Medical Examination Seafarers are required to undergo periodic medical examinations to ensure that they are fit for work as a seafarer. The assessment aims to safeguard the health and safety of both the seafarer and his or her other crew members, as well as for the safe operation of the ship. At Camilleri Clinic we conduct the Norwegian Maritime Directorate Seafarer Medical which is recognised worldwide including by the MCA in the UK. The medical examinations are conducted in accordance with the latest guidelines issued by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and the certificates meet the requirements set out by the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) and STCW Convention.
Our centre is fully equipped to fulfill the requirements of the seafarer assessment. All tests are done within the clinic’s premises, offering a one-stop service. This allows us to conduct the examination expediently, conveniently and with competitive rates. Camilleri Clinic prides itself in maintaining high standards of work in a fully modernised environment.
