MaritimeMT is a Maritime Training Centre that provides certified and bespoke training services to maritime pilots, seafarers and shore-based personnel. Providing courses for all nations, MaritimeMT has training consultants from all the major maritime hubs across the world. Its mission is to provide high standard training services to mariners and maritime pilots in Malta. This is accomplished through three Academies – Small Crafts Academy, Superyacht Academy, and Merchant Navy Academy.
Aimed at developing excellence, MaritimeMT currently offers almost 50 accredited courses that service the global maritime industry, including cruise ships, super yachts, merchant shipping as well as the shore-based side of the industry. Bespoke courses can be developed and organised to meet a client’s specific need.
The Training Centre is accredited by Det Norske VeritalGermanischer Lloyd (DNV-GL) on behalf of the Authority for Transport in Malta. The courses are therefore recognised by all IMO member states and meet the competency standards of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW). MaritimeMT also offers ship-handling training on its state-of-the-art DNV-certified Full Mission Bridge Simulators complete with ARPA & ECDIS systems. MaritimeMT is operated by MMRTC Co-operative Society Limited, the training arm of the Malta Maritime Pilots Cooperative Society

The well-prepared courses cover all the major areas of study with respect to the maritime industry. Training courses and lectures are held in a state-of-the-art training center in Hal Far. All lecture rooms are air-conditioned and fully accessible. The lecture rooms include an advanced audiovisual package, which includes sound, lighting and projection. The rooms also include interactive whiteboards, ceiling-mounted projectors and copious 13A floor socket/wall sockets. E-Learning We offer all our students an e-learning platform where they can access their course work and materials. Accommodation / Crew Quarters We offer training packages which include accommodation & daily transfers for students attending from abroad. We realise that arranging accommodation whilst attending training courses can be expensive & time consuming. Our accommodation facilities serve as the ideal environment for students to relax & socialise whilst giving their undivided attention to study and development. Our crew quarters are designed with students’ comfort in mind. You have the option to shared or single-berth accommodation with workspace & en-suite facilities. Our accommodation is located less than 5 minutes from the institute & we offer daily transfers. Professional Tutors We have dedicated facilities with specialised instructors from various sectors of the maritime industry. Our tutors at MaritimeMT are practicing professionals with strong academic and industry backgrounds, with sector-specific skills and practical experience. They are all dedicated to reaching our aim of giving you the knowledge base and set of skills needed to help you further your maritime career.
